Adah Sharma’s “The Kerala Story” Directed by Sudipto Sen to Release Soon on Zee5

Adah Sharma, starring in “The Kerala Story,” is poised to embark on its OTT journey. Adah recently took to Instagram to share this thrilling update with her fans. Directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Shah.

Adah Sharma shared the exciting news on her social media, saying, “FINALLY! SURPRISE! The most anticipated film is dropping soon on ZEE5! #TheKeralaStory premieres on 16th February, exclusively on #ZEE5.”

“The Kerala Story” depicts the narrative of three girls: Shalini (Adah Sharma), Nimah (Yogita Bihani), and Geetanjali (Siddhi Idnani), manipulated by their roommate, Asifa (Sonia Balani), into converting to another religion. Divided into two parts, the film’s first half showcases the manipulation leading to conversion, while the latter portrays Shalini’s journey as Fatima Ba, a member of a terrorist group, and her imprisonment in Afghanistan. It sheds light on the shocking incidents of Kerala youths being influenced by a terrorist group between 2018-19, lured through deceptive means.

Rubina Dilaik proudly showcases her ‘real mom body’ in a stunning golden saree, sparking mixed reactions among netizens.

Regarding the OTT release, Adah Sharma expressed gratitude to the makers, Vipul Shah and Sudipto Sen, for their hard work. She eagerly anticipates the film’s extended reach on ZEE5, catering to a broader audience base who missed it in theaters or wish to revisit it.

Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah, thrilled about the OTT premiere, emphasized the film’s significance for families to watch together, aiming for a collective learning experience. Director Sudipto Sen urged viewers to watch “The Kerala Story” on ZEE5 for a transformative encounter with reality, considering the film’s portrayal of true stories.

However, the film faced controversy over its trailer, particularly concerning the claimed figure of 32,000 missing women in Kerala. Criticism led to a ban in West Bengal, which was later lifted by the Supreme Court. Despite this, “The Kerala Story” emerged as a box office success and is set to premiere on February 16 on ZEE5.
