Arjun Tendulkar, the pacer for Mumbai Indians (MI), was recently spotted training in the gym with his sister Sara. Arjun is currently preparing for the upcoming 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
As the son of Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun is gearing up for his fourth IPL season with the Mumbai-based team. Despite his potential, he has yet to receive consistent opportunities and has only played four matches so far.
On Tuesday, March 5, the 24-year-old shared an Instagram story, providing fans with a sneak peek into his recent gym session with Sara.
Arjun Tendulkar made his IPL debut last year against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), where the left-arm pacer conceded 17 runs from two overs without taking any wickets. Throughout the season, he managed to secure three wickets from four matches, maintaining an economy rate of 9.36.
In the ongoing season of the Ranji Trophy 2024, Arjun represented Goa. Despite his efforts, he only managed to claim nine wickets from as many innings. However, he showcased his batting skills by scoring two half-centuries, accumulating a total of 258 runs across 11 innings at an average of 23.45.
Notably, Arjun delivered an outstanding performance in Goa’s final group fixture against Gujarat, where he scored 45 and 14 runs respectively and also grabbed a four-wicket haul in the first innings.
Despite Arjun’s contributions, Goa had a disappointing campaign in the Ranji Trophy, failing to secure a single victory. They ended up at the bottom of Group C after losing five out of their seven matches.
Arjun is now gearing up for the upcoming IPL 2024 season, where Mumbai Indians will kick off their campaign against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 24.
