Kia Unveils Next-Gen 2025 Carnival Hybrid: Here’s What You Should Know

Kia has unveiled the highly anticipated 2025 Carnival Hybrid, showcasing a perfect blend of advanced technology and enhanced performance. Following the successful global launch of the new-generation Carnival last year, Kia has now introduced its Carnival HEV variant. While its availability in the Indian market remains uncertain, expectations are high for Kia to soon bring the new Carnival generation to India, as reported by HT Auto.

Powering the 2025 Carnival Hybrid is a robust 1.6-liter turbo-hybrid engine, paired with an electric motor boasting an impressive power output of 72 bhp. Together, they deliver a combined power of 242 bhp and a torque output of 367 Nm. The electric motor’s instant torque ensures agile acceleration, eliminating the usual wait for turbocharger spool-up. Coupled with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, this powertrain not only enhances performance but also improves efficiency.

The innovatively designed 17-inch wheels contribute to better airflow around the vehicle, optimizing aerodynamics. Additionally, drivers can customize the regenerative braking system using paddle shifters, with three selectable levels for a personalized driving experience. Unique features like E-Handling, E-Ride, and E-Evasive Handling Assist aim to enhance vehicle responsiveness, smooth out bumps, and improve emergency steering control.

The 2025 Carnival Hybrid comes with an updated suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Junction Crossing (FCA-JC), Lane-change Oncoming (FCA-LO), and Lane-change Side (FCA-LS), along with Evasive Steering Assist (FCA-ESA). Complementing these features are Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (N-SCC) and Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA), ensuring enhanced safety and convenience for both drivers and passengers.

It’s worth noting that Kia Motors India recently launched the 2024 edition of its popular sub-compact SUV, the Kia Sonet. The introductory starting price for the entry-level HTE variant, equipped with a 1.2-liter petrol engine and a five-speed manual transmission, stands at ₹8 lakh (ex-showroom).
