Suhani Bhatnagar Opens Up About Her Family’s Reaction to Her Performance in Dangal

Suhani Bhatnagar, who portrayed the role of the younger version of Babita Phogat in Aamir Khan’s film “Dangal,” passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 19.

The unexpected demise of actor Suhani Bhatnagar at the age of 19 has left many in shock. Suhani gained recognition for her role as the younger daughter of Aamir Khan’s character in the critically acclaimed movie “Dangal,” which hit theaters in 2016. In a retrospective interview from that period, Suhani had shared her delight over the positive feedback she received from her family and friends regarding her performance in the film.

During the interview, Suhani expressed gratitude for the overwhelming compliments she received, stating, “I am getting a lot of compliments. Sab ko bahut accha lag raha hai, relatives ko family members ko. Every body is praying for the film. Let’s hope for the best and we want every body to see it” (Everyone is liking it very much, from relatives to family members).

Reflecting on her experience filming “Dangal,” Suhani mentioned that she cherished every moment, from the audition process to the wrap-up. She described the entire journey of “Dangal” as a significant achievement and a memorable experience, highlighting the fun they had on set.

In the film, Suhani portrayed the role of the young Babita Kumari Phogat, while her on-screen sister Geeta Phogat was portrayed by actor Zaira Wasim. Both Suhani and Zaira received acclaim for their performances. As the characters grew older, they were portrayed by Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, respectively.

Regarding Suhani Bhatnagar’s passing, the cause of her death remains unclear. Reports indicate that she was undergoing treatment for a fractured leg at a hospital in Delhi. A statement from Aamir Khan’s production house expressed deep sorrow over Suhani’s demise, offering condolences to her mother and family. The tweet described Suhani as a talented and integral part of the “Dangal” team, emphasizing that she would always be remembered as a star. May she rest in peace.
