Vijay Sethupathi Expresses Apprehension About Interacting with Katrina Kaif During Merry Christmas Filming: ‘I’m New to This Industry, She Is a Big Star’
Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif are set to share the screen in Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming film, Merry Christmas. In a recent promotional interview for the movie, Katrina disclosed that Vijay kept his distance and didn’t talk much during the filming process. Speculating on the reason, she initially thought Sriram might have instructed him not to engage in much conversation with her. However, Vijay offered a different perspective, revealing that he was intimidated by the Tiger 3 star.
Katrina described Vijay as “very philosophical and very wise” but noted that he is not particularly talkative, at least on set. Despite enjoying her work in the film, Katrina found it strange that people weren’t talking to her on set. Later, Varun Dhawan informed her that Sriram might have instructed everyone not to engage with her. However, Sriram denied this claim, and Vijay clarified that he was afraid of Katrina and didn’t approach her because he is relatively new to the industry and she is an experienced and prominent star.
In 2023, Vijay Sethupathi appeared in several successful pan-Indian projects aimed at the Hindi-speaking audience, including the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan, which turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the year, and Raj & DK’s Farzi alongside Shahid Kapoor.
